How to Play BEYBLADE X: Scoring, 3on3 Rules, and a Free Full-Screen Scoreboard

A simple illustration of two battling tops colliding inside a stadium

New to BEYBLADE X? Start with the scoring: Spin Finish earns 1 point, Over and Burst earn 2 each, and Xtreme earns 3. The standard two-player format is first to 4 points. In 3on3, two players each bring three Beys and arrange a deck order.

This guide explains the basics, then demonstrates my free BEYBLADE X scoreboard. Its full-screen mode turns your device into a scoreboard you can watch and operate beside the stadium. Every tool image below is a real screenshot taken at phone size. Scores and statistics are demonstration data.

What makes BEYBLADE X different?

BEYBLADE is a customizable battling-top series that began in 1999. After the original generation, Metal Fight, and Burst, the fourth generation, BEYBLADE X, arrived in 2023. Its X-Dash mechanism engages the Bit’s gear with the stadium rail for a sudden burst of speed. TAKARA TOMY series overview

Attack, Defense, Stamina, and Balance describe broad performance directions. Your combination, opponent, and launch also matter. Learn one setup first, then change one part at a time. Use compatible X equipment and a dedicated stadium, and wait until the battle ends before retrieving a spinning Bey. Official beginner guide

Start with 1on1 and learn the finish points

Two players each prepare one Bey, agree on the format, and launch together. In this article, a battle means one launch and its result; a match includes all battles needed to reach the target.

Finish Points Basic condition
Spin 1 The opponent stops spinning first
Over 2 The opponent enters an Over Zone and cannot return
Burst 2 The opponent’s parts separate and meet the burst condition
Xtreme 3 The opponent enters the Xtreme Zone and cannot return

The zone matters: every stadium exit is not an Xtreme Finish. Under the standard first-to-4 format, reaching or exceeding four wins. A player on three can win an Over Finish and finish on five. Resolve simultaneous finishes and disputes under the event rules and judge’s ruling. Official rules page

Score a 1on1 match in your browser

Open the BEYBLADE X scoreboard, select 1on1, and set the target. Enter both player names and, for combo statistics, a complete combo name such as DranSword 3-60F.

After each battle, tap the winning player’s finish: Spin, Over, Burst, or Xtreme. Players or a judge still determine the result; the tool does the arithmetic.

A real scoring demonstration. Enter combo names before battling if you want them included in statistics.

Draw records a draw without points. Undo removes the last battle. Once a player reaches the target, the tool shows the winner, stops further scoring, and adds the completed match to the statistics. Next match starts the next one.

Targets of 3, 4, 5, or 7 accommodate different practice agreements. These settings do not establish official tournament formats.

Full-screen scoring you can operate beside the stadium

Tap Full screen to emphasize the players, large scores, current Bey names, and finish buttons. Draw, undo, and restart remain available. Exit full screen returns to the ordinary page.

Full screen on a phone turned sideways: a large score on the left and four big finish buttons on the right for each player.

Held upright, the score sits on top and each finish gets a full-width button. On tablets and computers, text and buttons grow with the screen.

The tool attempts to keep the screen awake in full-screen mode. Browser support, permissions, and power-saving settings can affect this. Devices without native webpage full-screen support use an expanded in-page layout. Check the layout on your own phone or tablet before a match.

3on3 means two players with three Beys each

Each player prepares a three-Bey deck and battles in the arranged order. The basic official 3on3 format uses first to four: draws replay with the same Beys, and an undecided match continues after the three-Bey order is rearranged. Deck legality includes duplicate-part restrictions and specified exceptions; check the event’s regulations. Official 3on3 regulations PDF

Choose 3on3 in the tool and enter three names per side. The radio button marks the current Bey. Recording a battle advances the selection; undo restores the Bey used in the removed battle. The tool does not validate tournament deck legality.

A real deck-entry demonstration. The selectors can be changed manually.

A draw keeps the same Beys. After Draw, both selectors stay on the Beys that just battled, matching the official same-Bey rematch rule, so you can launch again right away.

If three battles end without a winner, the tool cycles back to the first Bey. If your rules have you rearrange the order, leave full-screen mode, edit the deck or move the selectors so they match the Beys actually in play. Follow the judge’s instructions during formal events.

Read the statistics as battle data

Only completed matches contribute to statistics, and unnamed Bey entries are excluded for that side. Restarting an unfinished match does not add it to completed history. Use consistent combo names; letter case is merged, while different part configurations should have different names.

BEYBLADE X statistics showing battles, wins-losses-draws, win rate, intervals, points per battle, and finishes

Real demonstration data from two matches and seven battles; the first three Beys are shown. On phones each Bey gets its own card, so nothing scrolls sideways. This is not a Bey performance benchmark.

Win rate is battles won divided by battles played, including draws in the denominator. DranDagger’s one win and one draw therefore produce 50%. This is not a match win rate.

Entries below ten battles receive a small-sample label. The 95% range uses a Wilson confidence interval. A wide interval signals considerable uncertainty, not a guaranteed future win rate. Even the displayed 75% comes from just four battles.

Points per battle add useful context: a Spin win earns one point, while an Xtreme win earns three. Keep stadium, opponent, and launch conditions comparable when evaluating changes.

Undo, local saving, and CSV export

The BEYBLADE X full-screen result showing Player A winning 4 to 2 and the next-match button

The completed-match result disables further finish scoring.

Feature What it does
Draw and undo Record a tie (3on3 keeps the same Beys) or remove the last battle
Winner detection Show the winner and stop scoring at the target
Automatic saving Retain scores, names, decks, and completed history locally
CSV export Download battle-by-battle records from completed matches

The exported CSV was tested. It includes match number, date, battle number, both players and Beys, winner, finish, and points. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets for your own analysis. It exports individual records rather than the on-page win-rate summary.

Battle data stays in the current browser on the current device, with no automatic cross-device synchronization. Clearing site data, switching browsers, or using private browsing can affect access. Export important records regularly.

Frequently asked questions

How many points is an Xtreme Finish?

Three. Spin earns one; Over and Burst earn two each. The standard two-player target is four, but check the event rules.

Is 3on3 a three-player battle?

No. This guide covers two players using three-Bey decks. Three-player stadium battles are a separate format.

Can I score without entering a Bey name?

Yes. Scoring works, but unnamed entries will not appear in combo statistics.

Will refreshing lose the current score?

The same browser can restore the match while site storage is available. Clearing that storage removes records the tool cannot recover.

Can I operate the full-screen view, and will it stay awake?

You can score, record draws, and undo directly. Keeping the screen awake depends on device and browser support, so check it before a long session.

Record your next match

Start with 1on1 to learn the finish points, then try a three-Bey deck. When you want to compare combinations, keep names consistent and collect comparable battles. Put the full-screen scoreboard beside the stadium and record each result as you play.
